MOSU

Mosu — “moss” in Japanese — is a woolly imitation of the plush ground-covering so deeply connected to Japanese culture. Zen gardens feature this prolific plant and are not considered whole without it. Moss doesn’t sprout up overnight; instead, it takes years to cover the surface of a stone, lending a certain and steady rectitude to its cultivation. Resolute in its existence yet soft to the touch, it is a symbol of harmony and a testament to patience. Its napped, naturalistic structure lends its texture to this velvet — imperfect yet faultless — and exactly as it should be.

To Note
This fabric has been dyed and finished to create a soft, natural-looking pile with movement and dimension. The pile orientation varies throughout the structure and one lot of velvet may vary from the next; shifting of fibers is inherent to the structure.
