By placing an order, you signify your consent to these Terms & Conditions.
Please note that all sales are final.
Payment is required in full prior to shipping or to place an out-of-stock item into production. ZAK+FOX accepts payment via credit card, check or wire transfer. Orders that total $10,000 or more must be paid for by check or wire transfer; an order over this amount cannot be split into smaller increments to accommodate multiple payments. Deposits for custom orders must be paid via check or wire transfer.
ZAK+FOX products are not guaranteed against natural wear, abrasion, stretch, shrinkage, fading due to sun exposure, discoloration due to washing or contact with liquids, dye-lot variations or side-matching. Many of our products are handmade; slight variation is to be accepted and is an inherent and unique part of the manufacturing process.
Reserves can be placed against products for 10 days and can be extended if needed. If the reserve expires, the inventory hold will be released, and a new reserve will need to be instated.
A Cutting for Approval (CFA) is recommended for approval prior to shipping. The client can waive a CFA if desired. CFA approvals must be submitted in writing and are considered as the official authorization from the client to ship the product and verification that all order details are correct. Please note that CFAs are not offered in the following scenarios: orders under 5 yards, specialty products, wallcoverings, or panel designs.
CFAs are shipped via USPS and can be rushed with a client-supplied FedEx or UPS account number. CFAs are not offered to clients outside of the U.S. unless a shipping account is provided.
The minimum for most in-stock items is 2 yards, though certain specialty items may have different requirements.
The suitability for use of any ZAK+FOX product is entirely at the discretion of the purchaser. ZAK+FOX will not be held responsible for any mishandling of product and recommends consulting with a workroom to confirm handling and care.
Product as shown in marketing campaigns, third party photography or in editorial coverage may not be indicative of how the product should be used.
ZAK+FOX cannot provide estimates for upholstery or wallpaper requirements based on measurements or elevations.
ZAK+FOX considers all sales final. All packages should be opened and inspected upon receipt. Should there be an issue with the product(s) ordered, the client must raise a claim within 7 days of delivery. Claims for packages lost in transit or post-delivery must be addressed by the client within 14 days after the ship date of the package. ZAK+FOX cannot be held accountable for unclaimed losses after this period. ZAK+FOX’s liability does not exceed the product amount.
Fabric or wallpaper that has been cut, treated in any way, or damaged by the client is not considered to be in original condition and will not be accepted as a return.
ZAK+FOX is not responsible for claims resulting from typographical errors and maintains the right to refuse a return because the client has changed their mind or the project for which it was intended has changed direction.
Claims will be addressed only once the product has been returned safely to the warehouse and will not be replaced prior to re-inspection upon receipt.
Velvet fabrics are shipped in a suspended box to maintain the quality of the pile and prevent crushing. Upon receipt, the box should be opened, and the velvet inspected and carefully stored in a horizontal position. ZAK+FOX does not take responsibility for velvets stored improperly or for mishandling once shipped. Any concerns need to be raised within seven days of delivery. Damage resulting from improper storage of a velvet shipment (e.g., standing the box up on its end) can include severe wrinkling, streaks in the pile or crushing of the pile. A claim due to improper storage or usage or lack of inspection within a seven-day window will not be considered. Any damaged items in suspended packaging subject to a claim must be returned to ZAK+FOX in its original packaging.
Shipments are sent with no signature required. If you would like to request that your package is sent with a signature required, it must be specified on a purchase order and will be subject to an additional fee from the shipper.
Paid orders — including stock, custom and all orders placed into production — are considered final. Cancelations must be made within 24 hours of payment for a full refund and will only be considered if the item has not yet shipped or has not yet been placed into production.
Under no circumstance can an order be changed, canceled or returned once the stock has been cut, packed or shipped. If a change has to be made and can be accommodated, a restocking fee of 30% will apply.
Lead times vary depending on the product. Stocked fabrics ship within 5 to 7 business days after receipt of payment. Rush orders for items not in stock will be accommodated when possible and may be subject to an upcharge.
Delivery dates for incoming/out-of-stock products are approximate; ZAK+FOX shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to meet expectations for any cause beyond its control, in particular acts of God.
Payment in full is required to place a product into production if it is not in stock; this is considered to be a final sale. ZAK+FOX works with best efforts to ensure a quoted date of delivery. Backorder dates are always an estimate and are subject to change. The purchaser is not entitled to cancel a sale due to unexpected delays.

ZAK+FOX accepts enquires for custom work and reserves the right to decline a custom request. Minimums apply and vary depending on the request and product type. Please address any enquiries to the ZAK+FOX New York City showroom for further information.
ZAK+FOX rugs are made-to-order and fully customizable. As with all handmade products, they may vary slightly in shade or color, translation of pattern, and finishing. All rugs are subject to a possible shift in sizing of plus or minus 3%. Custom orders (eg., the creation of a new pattern or scale – or changing, adding, or subtracting a color) will require a strike-off for approval, the cost of which is recoupable once a final order is placed. A deposit of 50% and approval in writing (if applicable) are required to begin production. The remaining balance is due prior to the order shipping. Quoted lead times are approximate and begin once a deposit is received. Lead times do not include delivery time to the rug’s final destination and are subject to change during production. ZAK+FOX is not liable for damage caused during installation.
Deposits for rug orders are accepted via check, ACH, or wire transfer only. Credit cards can be used to pay for strike-offs. Deposits are non-refundable and orders cannot be canceled once a deposit is received. A monthly storage fee of $700 will be applied if the remaining balance is not received within two weeks of order completion. Installation services are not included on formal orders or quotes unless otherwise specified.
Please note that all sales are final.
All fabrics within the U.S. and Canada ship via FedEx Ground. Tracking information will provided once the product has shipped.
The client is responsible for arranging shipping outside of the U.S. and is subject to all fees associated with the shipment. ZAK+FOX is not liable for any additional charges related to the shipment including VAT.
In the event that an incorrect address is provided on a purchase order — including an incomplete address, changes to postal codes or missing information required to successfully complete delivery — payment in full of new freight costs or change fees will be required in order to make corrections. ZAK+FOX cannot guarantee that changes can be made once the shipment has left the warehouse.
Pricing of products is subject to change without prior notice. Quotes and estimates (including custom projects) will be honored for thirty (30) days from the date issued.
